Ron Maffett

Ron grew up in the foothills of North Georgia drawing and painting. His formal training started at The Atlanta Art Institute and continues with various fine artists throughout the south eastern United States. His emphasis is on design, shape and color keeping an image and echo of nature. 

Creating a mood or feeling is an important part of what Ron does. Although He has worked with various mediums, watercolor was especially enjoyable with the challenges of its unpredictable nature. Ron is a member of several artists’ leagues and co-ops. He is a  member of The Swannanoa Valley Fine Arts League and has his work displayed at the Sourwood Gallery, Inc. both located in Black Mountain, NC
