Jean Hope
Jean Hope began her study of creating stained glass art in 1975 while living in New Jersey. This media was appealing to her because of the intensities and subtleties of the glass colors resulting from 'natural' light. As the light changes in brightness and position-so does the hue and texture of the glass-all adding to the artwork's beauty and interpretation.
Jean chose the copper foil technique over the lead came technique (widely used in large church and business windows.) Copper foil allows greater detail and creativity in her artwork.
Her favorite subject is wildlife-all flora and fauna. A result of our ever-changing world is the disappearance of many life forms. Stained glass art can become a record that outlasts and presents the beauty of the wildlife that we now experience.
All Jean's design work is original and unique to her style.
